Classes at Hamilton Wing Chun take place at the Xercise4Less Gym, in the New Cross Shopping Centre, Hamilton. The closest train station is Hamilton Central (8 mins walk away). JANUARY 2018 update : Classes run on Wednesdays from 20:00-22:00.
Classes start with a Qigong (Chi Kung) warm up, before moving onto Wing Chun forms, techniques, footwork and structure. All students will practice chi sau at their own proficiency level, whether that is Dan Chi Sau (single hand), Poon Sau (rolling) into free techniques.
We do not segregate levels, for less experienced students training with a more experienced practitioner benefits their technique, for the more senior students it is a chance to communicate and hone their own understanding.
Wing Chun is a direct, practical martial art and the application of forms and Chi Sau to self-defence situations is always at the forefront of our teaching.
